Tai Ji in NY
This picture was taken when I enjoyed my second day in NY. It was in Washington Square Park, several American guys were playing Tai Ji, a kind of tradional Chinese exercise. Firstly I became very surprise when I saw this, because I could hardly believe that even local Americans
play this. But anyway, I was so delighted to see Chinese culture has such a big influence on another country!
A UNIQUE SCULPTURE
this sculpture is in the Columbia Law School. it`s extremly unique , for you can see different images from different angles. what`s more, what I`ve seen is a man fights against with a pegasus.
Natural Beauty
This
picture was taken travelling from New York to New Jersey. That day was really
sunny and warm. The sky is really beautiful and elegant. The scene which
consists of a stretch of clouds and several clusters of clouds with the
light-blue sky makes me relaxed, and I have never seen such an azure blue sky
in Beijing. It is amazing also striking.
having new experience in New York_Daniel
On July
25th, 2012, we went to the south street seaport. Just when we left
the subway, the teacher took us to the American Gemini and they really shocked
me, although they are destroyed by the terrorists in the past and it’s being
repaired now. The heights of the buildings are nearly 120 floors. I couldn’t
imagine how amazing it is if people stand on it. Then we passed through the
crowd, and came to the three bridges in Manhattan that cannot be forgotten, they
were the Brooklyn Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge, and the Williamsburg Bridge. The
three bridges and the water and the beautiful views around it make up a unique
feature of Manhattan. The mayor of the New York spent 5 million dollars to
build a water fall under the bridges, He asserted that this air waterfall will
bring 2 million visitors and 20 million of revenues to New York. But when the
waterfall was completed, people found that the waterfall was too small. I don’t
know whether the program was win or lost money, but I think it must be lost. Then
we went shopping in the shopping center next to the bridges, buy small
souvenirs and clothes. Then we go back with immense fatigue and satisfaction.
Amazing Nature Science Museum——Adam
This is a story of my travel of museum. Last year, when I went to England, I visited British Museum, I was rearly confused cause it was too big and every thing were mixed together, and the map here is realy to hard for me to find direction. In addition, the headphone is realy hot that you can not ever imagine that you have such a big things and walk from here to there, so when I first heard we would see museum, I realy did not interested in it. However, things in America are totally different, When I first went in it, there is realy out of my imagine. Firstly we went to see Ice age Animal, in the hall, we saw a huge elephant modal and it was vivid and interesting. Then we go into this and there are many bones of dinosaurs, I was surprised because it was really a colossus, also I saw many bones of animal that I have not seen before. Then we went to saw the biggest sapphire, it was really beautiful. I was really happy with the travel.

United States Capitol------Amber
July 28, 2012
We went to Washington DC on July 28,2012, everyone was pretty happy. These photos I took United States Capitol, there was so many people, because they were protesting, demonstrating and proposing. Among lots of people, there was someone speaking.
. The theme of this activity was about saving water.
This was my first time to meet the protest and I think that it is so serious, it is not a joke, it concern to government..

American experience- Tony
I had a excellent impression of USA, because of the fruit:
As we were coming back to New York, all of the students had lunch in the
Maryland, this time we need to have the Chinese buffet again. In fact, the main
course here is not as good as what in China, but at here the fruits are
extremely excellent. One of the reasons is the sunshine here is very powerful,
it is just like Xinjiang in China. I like the cherry here most; it has a fascinating
sweet, with plenty of juice. This is why probably I would like to come to US. Oh, and also seafood! I also have a
wonderful impression of it.
When I first do the preview-Tony
This is what I have seen on the website, about the statue of liberty. Very romantic, isn't it? This gave me the interest to visit the statue.
Mr.Jia is as tall as Thomas Jefferson—Adam
We visited Jefferson Memorial on July 28th. When we visited this statue, we asked Mr.Jia to take a photo with statue of Jefferson. He said he want us to take a photo that he can as tall as Jefferson, so we try this way so that we can make Mr.Jia a little taller than Jefferson.
the Empire State Building-----hyouko
Thursday, July 26. In the afternoon we visited the Empire State Building (ESB). We were informed of zero visibility up on the observation deck on top of ESB because of the bad weather before we started ascending. However, now we are here. We looked into the distance and, sure enough, everything was in haziness. Water land sighed with emotion: It would be regret if we would not have climbed to the top, but even if we had climbed to the top it remained regret!
The teacher told us, ESB was named after Empire State , a nickname of New York State . It is located at
350 Fifth Avenue
(between 33rd and 34th Streets) in New York City and was constructed on the site of the former Astoria Hotel. The construction started on March 17, 1930. Cornerstone was laid on September 17, 1930 by former New York governor Alfred E. Smith. The construction took just over 18 months and was completed about a month and half ahead of schedule and about $5 million under budget. President Herbert Hoover officially opened the building on May 1, 1931 by pressing a button from the White House that turned on the building's lights.
As there were a lot of people at the top, we did not stay a long time. When we left ESB, it was getting dark and still rainy. We walk slowly to the campus. How substantial one day!
the Statue of Liberty
Today was my first time to visit the statue of liberty and
Ellis Island since I’ve never been to the USA before. It was cool as the breezes
kissing our cheeks softly though the sunlight was a little bit too bright near
the sea.
After waiting in a long queue, it was finally our turn to
get on the boat and begin our trip to visit the statue of liberty. We stood in
the front of the boat excitedly to get the view and as the statue came closer,
the feeling got stronger. The island actually is not big and the stairs in the
statue was closed, so we took a few pictures and went inside the souvenir shop.
The shop was far more crowded than the island and the air conditioning wasn’t
working well but there are so many great little gifts that caught my eyes.
However, the ones that I liked were all made in China. At last, I only bought a
maple syrup in a bottle that has a shape of the statue of liberty.
Our next stop was Ellis Island, which has a museum about the
time that people first started to come to America. Since we didn’t have much
time left, we just took some photos and got back onto the boat.
This was indeed memorable and spectacular. I hope I can get
another chance to visit there in the future.

July 28 2012
We were in Washington D.C, we visited many places that morning, such as Lincoln Memorial and White house. The architectures were amazing and beautiful, but because it was holiday and also weekends there were huge crowds of visitors. Besides it was a hot day, so most of us were tired and just wanted to stay in a cool place and only drink cold water. That's might be the main reason why all of us expected to go to the museum in afternoon.
Although it was hot and so many people there, I have to say most of us still had a lot of fun there.
After a tiring trip, my legs made me feel like they didn't belong to me at all, I just wanted to go to sleep, so you can know how I feel during the dinner in the last photo.
Anyway, I like to be with friends and I like to know things that I don't seen before, so in a word, I like this trip! Maybe you were enjoy to!

"Friendship"——Vic
This picture was taken on July 30th,2012,in front of the Statue of Liberty, this is my first time to see it, I was very excited. To be unique, I and my friends decided to pose like this, my left hand was taking a coke bottle and highly raised, just like I and the Statue of Liberty holding the bottle at the same time.
Lincoln Memorial
I was stand
in front of the Lincoln Memorial in July 29th. 2012 in the west of National
Mall in Washington D.C. The Lincoln Memorial is an American national monument built to
honor the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. He
successfully led his country through its greatest constitutional, military and
moral crisis – the American Civil
War – preserving
the Union while ending slavery, and promoting economic and financial
modernization. I was so excited to be here and I took a photo with my
friends.
THE ICE CREAM I WILL NEVER TRY AGAIN!!
It was a extremely
hot day, July 28th, we went to Washington D.C , and we visit white
house in that day. There were many people selling ice-cream, my friend jean put
her hands on me and said:” they have SpongeBob squarepants ice-cream.” She
knows I am a huge fan of SpongeBob. We run to the ice-cream car and said I
wanna SpongeBob ice-cream, paid 2.5 dollar. I looked at the package and singing
the SpongeBob song. The package was so adorable. I can’t wait to open it. But
when I open it, I was totally shock!!! The SpongeBob was so ugly that I almost
can’t recognize he!!! And he just has two teeth. It tasted so terrible. It
seems like mixture of pigment, water and sugar. It seems like I was eating a
piece of plastic. By the way two blackberry-color gums made the eye of SpongeBob.
It is the worst ice cream I have eaten since I born.Anyway, it was a
beautiful weekend, even I have got a terrible ice cream, I still got other
stuffs about SpongeBob, such as paper cups, toothpaste, tissue. The guide
laughed at me and asked are you a three-year old kid? I just wanna say SpongeBob
absolutely not just cartoon for kids, it contain so many things like society,
money, friendship. It so popular around the world must have some reasons. Just
think about it.
