First Shopping In NYC——Vic

The story is about my first shopping experience in New York. It was my third day in NYC. My mother told me I should hang out for shopping or something else, I was not supposed to stay in the dorm because it's my opportunity to practice myself a lot.

After dinner, I was free and have time to do what I want, I asked some friends to go with me but all of them felt tired that night, so I had to be alone. Before I went out of the dorm, I checked out the map of the city, I found a street that full of shops which is called "Broadway Street", I chose it as my target. 

Although I had remembered the map, I was lost on my way, after asking the way from several pedestrians, I finally arrived at the Broadway Street and started shopping along the street. 

Every time I walked in a shop, the clerks were really enthusiasm, they always came over to me and introduce every clothes and pair of shoes I was interested in. The prices of goods in NYC are too high to expense, so most of time I just did some window shoppings.

Accidentally, I found a very nice shoes shop which is called "Fight Club", it's not so obvious on the street, but there are massive pairs of shoes in it, especially the basketball shoes, that's my favorite!! I stayed in the shop for a long time and eventually selected out the most pretty pair of shoes I thought, asked the clerk to come to me and told her that I wanted to try it on. The 11 size of this pair of shoes could perfectly fit me, so I paid for it immediately.

Fight Club

In the whole process of this shopping, I practiced a lot about my English. I did the conversation with the clerk and I learned some words and phrases we can use during shoppings. I also learned how to handle or deal problems independently, this is very important to me because in the future I have to go abroad to  university alone, so I need this ability to live a better life!
